Center for Lung Cancer
When appropriate, surgical resection (removal of cancerous tissue) offers the best chance to cure lung cancer. In addition to performing a high volume of lobectomy operations (standard operation for lung cancer), the Center for Lung Cancer specializes in offering alternative operations and minimally invasive approaches for appropriate candidates. Appropriate candidates include patients who are considered "high risk" for standard resections.
Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques and coordinating with other surgical and medical specialties, the Center for Lung Cancer takes an active role in providing optimal care that is appropriate, comprehensive, and efficient for all patients.
