Northwestern Memorial Hospital contracts with many insurance groups to provide Gamma Knife Radiosurgery services to their members. If a patient is considered a good candidate for Gamma Knife treatment and is scheduled following a consult, the Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center will initiate the pre-authorization process and will do everything in its power to assist the patient in gaining pre-authorization for the procedure.
The department of Financial Counseling will work with private insurance carries as well as Medicare and Medicaid and is an advocate for patients and families to help them navigate through the complex insurance process.
