Endocrine Surgery

Endocrine Surgery provides diagnosis and treatment for patients with common and complex endocrine surgical problems, such as:

  • Thyroid nodules
  • Thyroid cancer
  • Hyperparathyroidism
  • Adrenal tumors
  • Pheochromocytoma
  • Gastrinoma
  • Insulinoma
  • Multiple endocrine neoplasia
  • Endocrine disease

Led by Cord Sturgeon, MD, we have significant expertise in performing all aspects of the surgical treatment of endocrine tumors, and we specialize in treating tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands (including pheochromocytoma), as well as islet cell tumors of the pancreas. We have extensive experience in minimally-invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery as well as laparoscopic adrenalectomy.

In addition, we are involved in multiple clinical research projects to determine the optimal way to treat patients with endocrine surgical problems.
