Recent studies have shown that our bodies all contain stem cells that can help to repair damage after a heart attack. Douglas Losordo, MD is the director at the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute and director of the Program of Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine at the institute. Dr. Losordo is also an Eileen M. Foell Professor of Heart Research at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
