Webcast: Stem Cell Treatment for Heart Repair

Recent studies have shown that our bodies all contain stem cells that can help to repair damage after a heart attack. These naturally occurring cells seem to be capable of building new blood vessels and replacing damaged heart muscle. Douglas Losordo, MD will discuss results from early stem cell studies that provide evidence for safety and possible benefits to patients with chest pain, heart failure and heart damage.

Featured Physician
Douglas Losordo, MD is the director at the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute and director of the Program of Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine at the institute. Dr. Losordo is also an Eileen M. Foell Professor of Heart Research at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
